Travis Kelce Responds to Taylor Swift’s Heartfelt 2024 MTV VMAs Shoutout

Travis Kelce shared some love for his girlfriend Taylor Swift after she shared a loving acceptance speech at the 2024 MTV VMAs during her historic night.

Travis Kelce is feeling Taylor Swift's spark even from a distance.

The Kansas City Chiefs star subtly showed his support for the "Karma" singer during her acceptance speech for Video of the Year at the 2024 MTV VMAs on September 11, where she gave him a special shout-out.

Though Travis couldn’t attend the event in person to celebrate, he made sure to like the sweet video shared by MTV. After spending a romantic weekend with Taylor in NYC, he had to return to Kansas City to prepare for their upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 15.

It's clear he's always cheering her on. As the caption noted, "There’s only one person who cheers louder for @taylorswift than me – and that’s @killatrav."

During her acceptance speech for the Moon Person award for her and Post Malone's song "Fortnight," Taylor couldn't resist expressing her affection for her boyfriend.

She recalled a memorable moment, saying on stage, "Whenever we wrapped a take and I called 'cut,' I'd always hear a cheer of 'Woo!' from across the studio. That enthusiastic cheer was coming from my boyfriend, Travis."

She continued, "Everything he touches brings joy, excitement, and a touch of magic, so I want to thank him for bringing that energy to our shoot. It's something I'll always cherish."

The NFL player certainly had plenty to celebrate. At the event, the 14-time Grammy winner not only took home seven awards but also made history as the first artist to win Video of the Year three years in a row and the first to win it five times. Her previous wins in this category were for "Bad Blood" in 2015 and "You Need to Calm Down" in 2019.

While Jason expressed his support as well, Travis added, "I wish everyone the best, but..."

The former Philadelphia Eagles center was clear about his loyalties, saying, "Unless you're competing against Taylor, then I hope you lose."
